I do enjoy midweek weddings, for some reason they always seem very relaxed and informal. Emma and Grant decided to have their wedding on a Wednesday not because all the local venues were fully booked, but because it gave the guests who flew in from Australia enough time to recover before the wedding cricket tournament. Well, it could have been because of the jet lag but I reckon the Aussies were more concerned about the cricket!
Fortunately for the English our weather was true to form so hopefully the match ended in a draw :-) The weather wasn’t an issue for Emma however and I swear I’ve never worked with a bride who took it all in her stride and wasn’t phased by a ‘little bit’ of rain. We stopped at a farm for some photos on the way to Bagden Hall and at one point the rain was almost horizontal as it came across the hill. No problem. We used the cover of a derelict building and Emma didn’t even bat an eyelid! Remarkable.
It was a fantastic day and I hope you guys had a great time in Spain. Best wishes to all your friends and family.
