You may remember Alison and Ash from their pre-wedding shoot at Chatsworth House – one of my new favourite locations.
Their English/Hindu wedding was over three days and included the Mehndi ceremony, the Hindu wedding ceremony and finally the civil wedding ceremony and in terms of photography it was a fantastic opportunity to document the complete process. In total I spent somewhere in the region of 18 hours shooting in addition to Julie’s 10 hours allowing us to capture some stunning images from the 3 days of events.
Due to the larger number of images I’m going to add a new set of favourites for the next two days.
Today’s post is the Mehndi ceremony which took place on the Thursday before the wedding. If you haven’t seen Henna applied by hand it’s an incredible skill and fantastic to photograph.
Below are a few of my favourites images. Check back tomorrow for images from the Hindu Ceremony.
