Sarah & Scott Pre-wedding Photos – Ingbirchworth, South Yorkshire

Ingbirchworth reservoir in South Yorkshire is where Scott proposed to Sarah so it seemed like the perfect location to do the pre-wedding shoot. The shoot started at the reservoir itself and then progressed on to a pub, an old concrete shed, and then a windmill farm for good measure.

For the photographers out there, Stewart has been working on some new Lightroom presets for this year’s wedding season, some of which have been used on these images. These include…

Warmnig + extreme shadow lift
Some colour split toning
HDR black and white effect
HDR colour effect

May 20, 2010 - 6:09 pm Nick Griffiths - Great photographs, I really enjoying looking at your work. From a fellow photographer, Nick

April 20, 2010 - 7:42 pm Stewart Randall - If you use LR try using a graduated filter with extra contrast and clarity

April 17, 2010 - 4:54 pm Rosie Cutbill - Great images - I particularly like the black and whites and moody skies! I am very interested in Rob Brooks comments and would love to be able to bring out the colour in concrete render, brickwork, rusty corrugated iron etc. - I would LOVE some tips if poss.

April 15, 2010 - 11:12 am Stewart - Nice series! And great choice for a location - I love that place...

April 15, 2010 - 9:39 am David Lowerson - Morning Stewart, I agree, do everything in LR, photoshop should be only used to do extra tweaks to an image with a view that the client will buy that image.

April 14, 2010 - 8:08 pm Stewart Randall - Yeah I know, but my personal view is the less you need to touch Photoshop the better. Why the need to Photoshop everything? LR is more than capable to produce outstanding quality post production. After all, that's what is it designed to do.

April 13, 2010 - 11:51 pm Rob Brook - You don't need to leave LR to necessarily use an action . You can create a droplet in photoshop and simply export a batch of files to a folder that you then drop onto the droplet and it will run through action it's been assigned without you having to do anything.

April 13, 2010 - 10:57 pm Stewart Randall - I agree but the advantages of staying in LR in my opinion outweight the need to take images in to PS

April 13, 2010 - 10:44 pm Rob Brook - Love the HDR B&W effect. The concrete shots are prime candidates for a LAB colour boost and would really bring out the colour in the concrete render and the wood of the door. Sadly it does mean a trip into PS and a little extra work but can be easily achieved with an action.

April 13, 2010 - 8:57 pm Mark Byrne - Love the HDR and split tone style preset. They look fantastic. Great couple and gorgeous images.
